Robin Roefs spoke immediately after the defeat to Fulham, being highly critical of the performance and commenting that a response is needed.
REFLECTION ON GAME
“I feel that we weren’t good enough, first half I think we weren’t secure enough with the ball, it was too sloppy, we gave a lot of counter attacks away. In the second half, it was maybe a little better, at 0-0 we had a good chance, we just weren’t there in the key moments. We should have done better, we want to do better, it’s on to the next one and [we need] to keep our heads up.”
KEY MOMENTS
“I think it’s all about the key moments, especially at this level, you get punished, if you don’t score your own chances, they will. That was the thing for today but, overall, it’s not one chance missed, it’s just not good enough and we need to step up our game.”
REFINDING FIGHTING SPIRIT
“I think it’s not just the case of fighting spirit, we fight for each other, but it’s also the case that when we have the ball we need to be secure, more patient. Obviously, we also have a lot of injuries, so that doesn’t help, especially in the last 10-20 minutes if you see our players. We had a lot of trouble.”
RESPOND
“That’s the only thing we can do, of course today wasn’t good enough but the only way to keep on going is to keep our heads up and get three points next week.”
