Regis Le Bris accepted that West Ham were the better team on the day and says his side have to learn from these negative experiences in the Premier League.
NOT AT THE LEVEL
“At the end of the day they were simply better than us. More composed with the ability to threaten our goal and score, and better in the duels. I think during the first half especially, our basics were not at the level or standard expected in the Premier League and if that is the case, the difference is huge.”
REACT TO DEFEAT
“Obviously we are a new promoted side. At the beginning of the season, everyone did say that we would live these kinds of experiences. So, it is not comfortable and the taste is not good but we have to go through these kinds of situations to grow and to learn. To accept the defeat is not easy but in this league I think we’ve lost six games. It is not massive, but when it happens you have to react and understand why you were not at the level. We have to work hard and move forward.”
INITIAL XHAKA UPDATE
“It is an ankle injury. He worked a lot during the first part of the season so we will wait, he’ll have to rest for at least two weeks and then we’ll assess the next stage.”
DIARRA & TALBI
“We need everyone involved, especially when we are living in these kinds of situations. It is good because they have good energy, they are talented, they have to learn like everyone in the squad. It is positive to have them once again.”
