REGIS REACTS TO WOLVES

Regis Le Bris remained positive after his side's 1-1 draw at Molineux but addressed Dan Ballard's red card and called for the hair-pulling rule to be changed.

BALLARD RED CHANGED THE GAME

“We started the game well and were dominant, we scored and we felt that this game was under control. But in football unpredictability is everywhere and it came from a specific rule. I think the duel from Ballard against Arokodare was fair, without bad intention and it wasn’t violent conduct but the rule is the rule. I think Paul Tierney, who is a great referee, executed just the rule. I think it’s important to have a conversation soon about this topic because it changed massively the scenario and wasn’t expected.”

TEN MEN PERFORMANCE

“I appreciated the reaction. We had twenty minutes where Wolves generated momentum and tried to gain advantage from the numerical difference, but after the second half when we changed the structure to 5-3-1, and the subs helped as well, we played well. We defended more compactly and aggressively, and with the ball we were good and created chances. Just a lack of accuracy in the final third is often the case but overall the mentality of the squad was good. Even if the players are disappointed, it’s clear that it is still good to change the dynamic and now go into the next fixture with this energy.”

SQUAD DEPTH

“We have a small group. Only 11 players will start and now the players who were injured before are back, so the group is a bit more consistent with different options in different positions. It helps, and after that it is a question of energy and maybe one will start. It was the case that Noah started, for example, and then Habib came in and it was interesting. He gave energy and this was the case for Dennis and Wilson as well, and it will be the case for the end of the season.”

ONTO MAN U

“It’s another exciting challenge. I think the mood was a but low after Forest because we fell short and it wasn’t acceptable, especially at home like that. In football anything is possible and the most important thing is the reaction. I think the Lads showed today that they care a lot and the jersey is really important. They showed in a difficult scenario that they are still in this season and they want to go all the way. This challenge against Manchester United will be really exciting because now we are in this Premier League, proud and with good results, good dynamic and in a good place.”
