Regis Le Bris has addressed the key talking points from the Hull City defeat including Anthony Patterson's own goal, squad depth, fatigue and a double hamstring injury blow...

PATTO OG

The own goal changed the dynamic of the game because after that the opponent provided different problems. We tried to break the low block and didn’t find the solution. It is a shame because in this kind of game, silly mistakes can change many things. We have to think about these mistakes to improve our game. It is not a coincidence (conceding from a set piece); we have to ask the questions. After that the energy of the group was OK. We tried but it wasn’t enough. When a goalkeeper or a striker makes a mistake, it always has big consequences. It is a little bit different if you are a midfielder or a centre-back or a winger. You can miss your cross, and maybe it is a huge mistake, but the consequences are not the same. That is not the case if you are a goalkeeper or a forward, and you have to accept that.”

SMALL GROUP OF PLAYERS

“This was the 34th game of the season. We have a small group. That can be a positive because everyone is really involved, but at the same time, when we have injuries, we know that we can have a bit of a lack of depth in certain positions. That is just the characteristic of the squad this year. There are positives and negatives, we just have to try to manage things properly. I hope to see a reaction. I hope to have the capacity to react.”

FRINGE PLAYERS

“For some players, there is probably now the opportunity to help the team and be connected with the shared project. It's a long journey with many games to play, and I hope we can find some solutions. We'll see if some of these players are ready because I think they will get some opportunities in the coming weeks. With young players, they still need time to develop and the main question here is the level of the team."

LE FEE/BALLARD INJURIES

Enzo’s problem is probably with his hamstrings. We will have to see whether it is serious or not tomorrow. Dan Ballard has a similar issue. It is obviously disappointing, but I think the dynamic of the season is like that. You have players in, and players out. Romaine (Mundle) was in today, and that is good news, so we have to face up to these different challenges.
