RATINGS V POZNAN

Sunderland could only draw away to Lech Poznan in their third Europa League fixture. An early goal from Timur Tutierov put the Lads ahead but, with 20 minutes to go, Swede Leo Bengtsson found the back of the net to give the hosts their first point of the European campaign.
ROBIN ROEFS: 8/10
Made a number of good saves and couldn’t have done anything about the goal.
NORDI MUKIELE: 8/10
Forced a save at one point and hit the side netting. Did his job defensively and helped us going forward.
KEVIN DANSO: 5/10
Got himself booked after allowing a player past him and very nearly let them in at another point in the first half. Skied a chance from a corner as well. Definitely looked better after the break.
LUKE O’NIEN: 8.5/10
A solid performance from him, looked completely calm and collected at the back all afternoon.
DAYANN METHALIE: 7/10
Defensively fine and contributed going forward as well. He should have done better with his chance late on though.
GRANIT XHAKA: 6.5/10
A fairly average performance, should have scored at one point.
JULES AHOKA: 8.5/10
Thought he looked brilliant, got a bit tired towards the end though. Mustn’t be far off starting a Premier League game.
NILSON ANGULO: 8.5/10
Capitalised on their goalkeeper’s error to steal the ball and put it in for Tutierov’s goal and was very good for the hour or so he was on the pitch aside from that. Probably one of the best games we’ve seen from him in a Sunderland shirt.
HABIB DIARRA: 7.5/10
Very good in the middle of the park and helped us get forward a few times. Might have been able to do better with some of his chances.
MALICK FOFANA: 6/10
Lots of chances but he really should have found the back of the net with a couple of them.
TIMUR TUTIEROV: 8/10
His first Sunderland goal after being robbed of one in our last Europa League game. Was through on goal later in the game but was unable to get a shot away.
SUBS:
TRAI HUME: 6/10
Wasn’t involved in any major capacity after coming on.
CHRIS RIGG: 6.5/10
I think literally everyone thought he’d scored but other than that was decent.
ENZO LE FEE: 7/10
Should have taken on a shot himself at one point but did well to get a shot away whilst under pressure later on. Thought he looked bright.
NOAH SADIKI: 6/10
Was fine, if unspectacular.
REINILDO: N/A
Not enough minutes to justify any sort of rating. Not sure of the logic in bringing on a fullback for an attacker whilst searching for a winner.
MANAGER: 5/10
Initial selection fine. Substitutes made us worse though, four at once disrupted any flow we had and Fofana should have came off instead of Angulo. The result isn’t entirely his fault as players need to start putting away chances.
