Sunderland have appointed two new non-executive directors to the board.

Alexandra Louis-Dreyfus and Tom Burwell, Chief Executive Officer of Bia Sports Group, join as of today as Non-Executive Directors. This is a part-time role where the pair will attend board meetings and offer guidance, without taking on day-to-day roles at the club.

Bia Sports Group oversees the sporting portfolio owned by Kyril Louis-Dreyfus and Juan Sartori. Burwell has previously held leadership roles in Rugby and Formula 1.

A. Louis-Dreyfus holds a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago and has been a close adviser of the Club throughout the last five years. She also happens to be the wife of Kyril.

The appointments follow the death of Patrick Treuer in December, who was also a non-executive director of SAFC.
