LO9 POST VALE

Luke O'Nien spoke of his disappointment after being dumped out of the cup by Port Vale.

WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH

“Really disappointed. I’ve just been speaking to the boys and we’re all gutted. We wanted to give our fans a cup run and it was a big day for us. We didn’t deliver.”

BETTER TEAM WON

“I think it’s always good to give credit to the other team. I don’t care what league you’re in, they competed and fought and they were deservedly winners. So, first and foremost we’ve got to give credit to them as much as it hurts to say. It’s just like every game - we beat Leeds last week and went back to the drawing board to see where we could improve, and today we’ll do the exact same.”

FOCUS ON THE LEAGUE

“Still processing this loss, and there’ll be a few boys thinking about it on the way home. It’s a big one today but football moves fast and we’ve got to move on. We’ve just got to make sure we’re focused on the league now.”
