JOCELIN TA BI?

It has been reported that Sunderland are close to signing 20-year-old Jocelin Ta Bi, a left-footed right winger who is currently playing in the Israeli Premier League.

The Ivorian youngster has spent the last 18 months on loan from Maccabi Netanya, has contributed two goals and two assists in twelve games this season.

Interestingly, Celtic were close to signing Ta Bi at the start of January but the deal collapsed at the last hurdle when a medical exam revealed that the player required surgery. If Sunderland were to sign the explosive Ivorian, it would be seen as a long-term signing where we might have to be patient to see him involved with the first team.

He is by no means a household name in football - he doesn't have a Wikipedia page and playing in the Israeli Premier League means there is a lack of coverage around the winger.
