Wilson Isidor was happy to see Sunderland earn victory at Coventry, and is looking forward to the second leg which takes place at the SoL on Tuesday night.

HARD FOUGHT WIN

“Today was a great game by the team, but also Coventry is a really good team. We felt since the first minute that we could tell we were in a play-off match, in terms of the stadium and the fans. I just can’t wait to start the second leg in our own stadium with our fans.”

ONTO THE NEXT LEG

“Even when we just came out for the warm-up, we saw that there were a lot of Coventry fans. I can’t wait to see our fans in ‘play-off mode’ as we say in the dressing room. I hope they’re going to push us from the first minute and even before the game. We are ready, we know what we have to achieve and we need them for that.”

RECOVER AND STAY FOCUSED

“We are going to train the best way, keep the focus and recover physically. We will give everything we have on Tuesday on the pitch.”

“It is always great to win. I think it’s been a long time since Sunderland have won here so we’re happy about it, but we also know that it means nothing and we still have everything to do.”
