Regis Le Bris always keeps his cards close to his chest in press conferences, but today he was particularly coy when it came to giving fitness updates on several key players. The one thing he did confirm is that Reinildo Mandava will be fit to play against Newcastle United, which comes as a huge boost, but for the rest he said they'll face 'late fitness tests'. It makes sense to not give away this information - why hand the opposition such a big boost?
LE FEE/MUKIELE/BALLARD/ROEFS
“We’ll have a late assessment for them. We know already that Jocelin, Nilson, Bertrand and Romaine will be sidelined and ruled out for this game. For the others, we’ll have a late assessment because they are all working hard behind the scenes to get ready for this fixture. It’s really important for us but it might be a purely medical decision, we won’t take unnecessary risks because we still have seven games left after this one and the international break to manage the last part of their rehab if necessary.”
REINILDO
“Yes, he will be available.”
BALLARD INJURY
“It was discomfort in the hamstring zone so we will see.”
CHANCE ALL FOUR WILL PLAY?
“At the minute I would say yes, but we will have to see tomorrow.”
