ANGULO SIGNS

Sunderland AFC have brought in 18-year-old Ecuadorian Juan Riquelme Angulo Caicedo, from Independiente del Valle on a long-term deal. Angulo is a physically imposing striker, standing at 6ft 4in, and combines his stature with agility, power, and a strong eye for goal. Already an Ecuador international, he scored six goals in 15 league appearances this season – averaging a goal every 115 minutes, leaving the table-toppers sitting 21 points clear at the summit of LigaPro Serie A.

There were a lot of big clubs around Europe chasing his signature, so this signing demonstrates the attraction of Sunderland AFC.
