ABOUT YESTERDAY...

Yesterday was truly a fantastic day from start to finish.
All week, you could feel the belief building among the Sunderland faithful. The club had whipped the supporters into a frenzy. With the noise, the flares the fans lining the streets before the match, it felt inevitable that something special was about to happen.
The pre-match atmosphere at the Stadium of Light was incredible, the excitement was almost overflowing. By kick-off, the place was absolutely electric.
And the team delivered. Sunderland completely outplayed a billion-pound Chelsea squad. Every player in red and white ran themselves into the ground, and Chelsea simply did not know what had hit them. For over 100 minutes, the noise inside the stadium was off the scale.
As news of other results going our way filtered through the stands, the sense of disbelief and excitement only grew. This was our day, and nobody was going to take it away from us.
The celebrations after the final whistle were unforgettable. People crying, hugging, and looking at each other in sheer disbelief at what they had just witnessed. It was incredible.
My son and I began our Sunderland journey together four years ago against Shrewsbury Town in League One. To experience moments like this together, as father and son, is something truly special.
Maybe, just maybe, this is our time.
Well done, SAFC.
