In all the 60 years or so that I have been following football I cannot remember a team who had been on a run of success with an unbeaten run like Sunderland had until recently to suddenly lose 3 in a row without there being a serious problem somewhere in the club to unsettle the players.
All I have seen from the manager is that, oops we lost again. I was hoping to find something in your blog that might provide a clue as to what the problem is, but I can't find anything other than oops we lost again. Come on guys we need someone to work out what suddenly changed things like that.
OK, two seasons ago under Jack Ross we won only one of the last seven games of the season after being on a great run, so is it that the lads can't play at this time of year? Surely not. I cannot stand the thought of another playoff final against Charlton. I remember the first one, you know, the one we would have won easily if only we had had a goalkeeper. Then the last one where they even gave us a goal start and we still lost.
Seriously though something must have happened to turn a long winning run into a long non-winning one? What is it?
