Regis Le Bris was left frustrated as he watched his side fail to convert several chances before conceding a late decider against Stoke.
MISSED CHANCES
“Disappointed obviously because especially in the second half we created many chances and had the opportunity to score. In that situation where you don’t score, especially against a team at home, they can believe that it is possible to score. At the end we lost at least one point, but maybe three because I think we deserved to win today. This part of the pitch is still the most difficult. I think we created many chances, we tried and at the end it was a lack of precision, confidence maybe sometimes, good saves from the goalkeeper as well. Sometimes you have to deal with these kinds of situations.”
RIGG/POVEDA INJURIES
“We’ll have to wait a little bit for Chris Rigg. Maybe a couple of weeks, maybe less, we will see. For Ian it was too early for him to start a game. We tested the situation this week but he will probably need one or two more weeks.”
LONG TERM
“It is not a drama. This league is like a marathon. Sometimes you can’t have the clinical finishing like we should have today to win this game, especially during the second half. It is still a process, football is always unpredictable and it is difficult to score. Sometimes you can score with one chance, sometimes you need 30 chances. It was more or less that situation today."
NEW YEAR'S DAY
"So, keep going and we will have a big challenge against Sheffield United at home. I am looking forward to playing that game with our fans at home especially, it will be a very exciting challenge for our guys and I think we will be ready.”
