RLB ON HOME FORM AND EKITIKE

Le Bris has been commenting on our home form, the desire of our attacking players and the threat of Hugo Ekitike before the match against defending-champions Liverpool.

HOME RUN

“It’s a good opportunity to win points once again, away from home or at home. We know that the level of confidence is high at home, probably because we are a bit more front-footed. I think it’s really important to be brave, to be ambitious, and to use this energy from the crowd to generate momentum, to sustain momentum and to create danger.”

ATTACKERS' DESIRE

“I think it’s the case (that they have desire), for Brian, for Wilson, for Eli, or our wingers. Now it’s a question of the level because the gap is big with the Premier League and it’s not just with one or two opportunities, or a small part of the season, or journey, in the Premier League that you can achieve this level. It’s a long process. You can fail and then, with resilience, you can grow and become stronger. It’s a progressive dynamic and I think we can feel it now and I hope we can maintain the level at home.”

MANAGED AGAINST EKITIKE IN FRANCE?

“I don’t think so, no. He’s doing well, really well, because he’s a good player, a really good player. In France, it was really impressive, then he struggled a bit in his journey, and then he found a good environment and the good level of experience now to be efficient in the Premier League. Those players, in a team like Liverpool, top six, they have X factors and this is probably the main difference with the lower leagues. You can play good football, have a really balanced game but one player can make the difference. They can decide, ‘I will score, ok, it’s possible'. With our squad, we want to defend together, this togetherness is key but, sometimes, it’s not enough.”
