Chris Rigg has spoken about our win over Hull, mentioning that we need to get into the habit of winning before our Europa League fixtures and he was full of praise for our new players.

THROUGH TO THE NEXT ROUND

“We’re really pleased and we said in the changing room our objective today was to win no matter the performance. The performance was good, there’s a lot to work on, but for a whole new squad it was good and I’m pleased.”

DEBUTANTS

“It’s not easy for the new boys to come in, a new culture, a new team, but I thought they performed really well today and all credit to them. They held their own and they were really good today.”

LEADERSHIP

“I think the whole team are leaders really and I can bring my experience that I’ve got and help the lads that don’t have as much experience as me. There were 11 leaders on the pitch today.”

TALBI’S GOAL

“It was an automatic goal because I knew nobody was catching him. I wasn’t expecting the little dink but it was nice.”

HABIT OF WINNING

“We’ve literally just mentioned that I think we’ve got to start getting used to winning, especially in cup games. We’ve got Europe coming up and wins are very important there, so it’s good to get off to a winning start.”
