PLAYER RATINGS: LEEDS

A positive performance at home to Leeds United nevertheless leaves Sunderland bottom of the Premier League table still. A goalless draw was the order of the day.

ROBIN ROEFS: 8/10

Made a few saves towards the end of the game to make sure we didn’t fall behind. Not massively busy.

TRAI HUME: 7.5/10

Put in a few good tackles and it’s good to see him moved back to right back, where he looks a lot better.

NORDI MUKIELE: 7.5/10

Came off injured, hopefully he’s back soon. Defensively brilliant for his 50 or so minutes but squandered a chance in the first half by shooting from far too long a distance.

LUKE O’NIEN: 8.5/10

Another fantastic display from Luke O’Nien, only a few days after his last one in Poland. Barely put a foot wrong, aside from a half-dodgy moment in the first half, he shut Dominic Calvert-Lewin really effectively.

REINILDO: 7/10

Forward passing left a lot to be desired but never caused too much concern at the back.

GRANIT XHAKA: 7/10

Played well but made a few touches that almost caused a bit of bother.

NOAH SADIKI: 7/10

Worked his socks off, as usual. No major mistakes and overall pretty solid in the middle of the park.

CHRIS RIGG: 7.5/10

Thought he looked really good but nothing came off for him in the final third, both shots of his were blocked.

ENZO LE FEE: 7.5/10

Should have had an assist in the opening few minutes but was sometimes frustrating, took too many touches or dropped too deep when we needed to get it into the box or get a shot away on a few occasions.

NILSON ANGULO: 8/10

He’s improving every game, forcing a few saves and generally looking bright. Needs a goal from open play to really set him away I feel.

BRIAN BROBBEY: 7/10

Almost scored a couple of times and put in a good shift whilst presumably not fully fit.

SUBS:

OMAR ALDERETE: 7/10

Played well at the back and contributed a few times to the clean sheet.

TIMUR TUTEROV: 6.5/10

Ran a lot and the workrate was definitely there but struggled to get on the ball properly.

HABIB DIARRA: 6/10

Got forward a couple of times but didn’t have a lot of the ball.

CHEMSDINE TALBI: 6.5/10

Almost scored but made a mess of a corner.
