Sunderland's bad luck with injuries is set to continue, with both Dan Ballard and Enzo Le Fee having to come off against Hull City due to hamstring issues.

Despite Romaine Mundle providing a welcome boost, Sunderland will reportedly have to deal with the absences of both Ballard and Le Fee in the coming weeks. It has been said that the Frenchman will be out for around six weeks. Typically, this setback comes at the same time Romaine Mundle is now available to play - with Tommy Watson also approaching full fitness again - which would have moved Le Fee into his more natural position centrally. It is likely we won't see him until the start of April at least.

After Le Fee was subbed at half time, Ballard came off a few minutes after the restart after attempting to clear the ball. He has been patient for an opportunity after the impressive form of Chris Mepham, but frustratingly his injury-plagued season will now take another hit. It has been reported that he'll be sidelined for around eight weeks.

Furthermore, it seems that the signing of Jayden Danns is one which may go down in history alongside the likes of Emmanuel Eboue, Declan John and Tommy Smith filed under "Sunderland players who never played for Sunderland". That is because the rumours are suggesting the Liverpool loanee won't be fit to play this season at all.
