DANSO REMAINS POSITIVE
Kevin Danso admitted that Saturday was far from ideal but was adamant that the Lads are confident they can turn things around.
CHANCE CREATION
“It was a tough game. We know Brighton are in form at the moment and a very good side out of possession. After the first ten minutes or so we were able to break their press and create chances, albeit not very clear-cut chances. In the last third, we were missing that bit of conviction and couldn't create that clear-cut chance.”
NEGATIVE NOISE
“We always try to avoid all the negative noise. I felt until we conceded, we were able to create some chances. Everyone can say what they want but it is up to us to get our heads down. We believe in ourselves, we know the quality that we have so it is up to us to turn good performances which we had against some of the top sides into points and also, when we are playing bad, to grind out wins.”
ISIDOR
“Wilson can definitely step up. He is a top player. You could see how good Brobbey was against Arsenal and Man City. Wilson is not the same profile but they are both very good players, and I am sure Wilson will step up just like Brian has. We all have responsibilities. As defenders, it is up to us to keep clean sheets and it is up to the strikers to get as many goals as possible. We are very critical of ourselves.”
WASTED OPPORTUNITY
“Yes, it feels different to after Arsenal and City defeats. We had opportunities to score first but once we conceded it was not quite the same performance. That final pass, that final detail, that conviction was just missing.”
NEED TO BE EFFICIENT
“Since the first game, Brentford away, when we played really well and had opportunities, I knew we were a good team. Once we learn now to punish, we will be a very tough team to beat. We know the qualities we have and believe in ourselves.”
COMPARISONS TO SPURS
"I don't like to compare, but it is a different team with different characters. We have bags of quality and just need to score first because then we will be a tough team to beat.”
