Swansea match report... here

Sunderland continued their quest to be the draw specialists of the Premier League after playing out a goalless stalemate with Swansea City at the SOL on Saturday. To be fair to Gus Poyet’s side the lads had the better of the limited chances on show throughout the game but in truth it’s a case of two points dropped especially considering the Swans were reduced to ten men towards the end of the game after Angel Rangel was dismissed after picking up two bookings.

The big thing that came to mind when talking about this game during the week was Wilf. Big Wilf. Big Wilf Bony – you know, that bloke who destroyed us in the last, after-the-lord-mayors-show, game of last season. Oh how we’d cheered when he got sent off last weekend, but oh how we’d groaned when he served his suspension in midweek. Hard shift for O’Shea and Brown, but they didn’t pick him. Mad, or what?
