I may well be in a minority of one but I was very happy that QPR were promoted as Loftus Road is only twenty minutes from my front door. In addition to that we usually beat them there and this is a good time to be playing them as they've made a very bad start to the season and for much of last weekend's game against Spurs a number of their players didn't seem to know where they should be playing.

With the home side losing their main striker a couple of hours before kick-off, they could have been excused for losing the plot, but they didn't. It needed Wickham, again doing well when coning back to cover, to keep the ball out early on, then Vito, bravely racing out, to keep the home side out. What's going on?

Sunderland lost 1-0 away to QPR in a game where, again, we just seemed to lack that cutting edge or piece of quality to grab a goal or two. A late first half Charlie Austin goal was enough to see us off and condemn us to our first defeat of the season. Oh well, get the loss out of the way, push on from here!
