Over the last few weeks, we have really started to see the value of Alex Pritchard to this Lads squad of 2023-24. Pritchard is, of course, one of the more experienced heads in the team at 30 and every team needs a spine of experience in their squad when surrounded by young promising talents.
The value of experience can never be underestimated, so much so that when at the start of the season a decision on this particular player’s future was announced. If you remember, it was said that the Lads were not going to offer him a new contract once his existing deal expires at the end of this particular season.
