SAFC assistant manager Steve Parkin has been previewing the visit of Lincoln City. “Anyone who has watched the last two games will know we have created a lot of chances, played some good football. The movement has been good to create five or six chances against two good teams. The workrate from players when we have not had the ball has been good, as witnessed at Doncaster, we didn’t allow them to do what they like to do. There has been improvements in aspects of our game, the lads have worked hard to deliver that. We feel as though we did enough on Boxing Day against Bolton at home too, we felt we did enough to win that. It was bitterly disappointing not to, but it was important we put on a show in front of the home fans tomorrow. Lincoln are in confident mood, couple of good results, scoring a good amount of goals. They are playing with freedom. Defensively we will have to be right on it. If we can play the way we can, then we can cause them as many problems.”

With the window open, Parkin was quizzed on incoming players. “It’s spinning plates at the moment. I won’t sit here and say who we are or aren’t after. The manager has spoken to the owners, that be Stewart, Charlie Methven and Tony Coton. Hopefully something will happen in the near future.”
