LINES FROM LONDON V HULL

This was an enthralling game in which Hull fully played their part and despite our at time clownish but by no means amusing defending, we still put together some great attacking moves. I can’t remember the last time we were involved in a 4-4 draw.

BEFORE

When we play away I usually feel optimistic about us getting a win but it's these home games that worry me a bit as so often we have to battle against well-packed defences and lots of gamesmanship. I travelled up from London yesterday and there were several early-doors Hull fans sitting near me as well as a couple of Mags returning from the West Ham match plus a fellow member of the London Branch to give some balance. It was all very amicable actually. Hull are currently six points below us and they've drawn three out of their last four games so I think they'd be happy with another draw this afternoon. They've managed about a goal a game but if we defend like we did against Burnley, I think we'll keep them to just the one or no goals. It seems that Cirkin and Pritchard will be in contention today so the more the merrier. I'll be at the game with my Sunderland bubble and my match prediction is a hard-fought 2-1 win for us.
