We are now a good chunk of the way through the season with 14 matches played across all competitions. Therefore it’s a good time to make a very early assessment of how our new signings who have featured quite a bit have gotten on and how those who haven’t might in the future. JOBE BELLINGHAM
He’s been great hasn’t he? Calm, collected, good at breaking down opposition attacks via interceptions and he’s a great physical presence to allow our midfield to have a focal point to build up the pitch. Of course there’s some things he needs to work on, his end product feels lacking at times (he missed a bit of a sitter away to Leicester) and it would be great to see him creating more chances with Alex Pritchard currently having more chance creations in about half the amount of game time. It’s important to remember this is his first season regularly starting Championship games and most of our attack has been a bit lacking in the last few weeks so it’s not all on him.
