BALLARD POST SHEFFIELD

Big Dan Ballard spoke about last night's emphatic win, a well deserved clean sheet and looking forward to the next home games...

"It was a good evening, a good win. I thought it was pretty convincing from the start. I thought the lads were excellent. They're not in a good run of form and sometimes these games can be tricky with everything that's going on here, so everyone was magnificent the way they applied themselves. It was a comfortable win in the end."

"It was extremely important [to bounce back]. We've been on a good run of form ourselves so the weekend was really disappointing, that was a game we really wanted to win in front of the home fans. We were hurting from that but hopefully this makes up for it. We've got two home games in a row now so hopefully we can get another couple of wins."

"It was the whole team, not just the back four and goalie. We controlled the game from the start and limited them to very little. So it was a team effort and we were brilliant on the ball, kept it away from them with lots of possession."

"It's two really important games and it'll be two very tough games with a quick turnaround. We're going to go home now, get recovered and hopefully have a really strong week before the international break."
