ALESE POST WATFORD

Aji Alese shared his thoughts after Sunderland's disappointing defeat at Watford on Saturday afternoon.

SHOULD HAVE GOT MORE

"I thought they had good individual players which caused us problems at times. I thought our shape went well against their shape and once we realised the press then they couldn't really play through us. I didn't think they really created anything clear-cut, especially in the first half, and we obviously had a few good chances going into half time so we felt like we could have had more from the game at half time. To end the game having lost, I think we definitely should have got more from the game."

BOTH BOXES

"It's not just (finishing chances). It's both boxes. If we keep it out then draw 0-0, and if we then score we win. So, obviously we missed some chances but we also conceded so it's not just about looking at the attacking players. We also need to look at our defence and keeping clean sheets because it's two games now where we've conceded."

PERSONAL RECOVERY

"I'm feeling good, just getting more and more minutes every game. In training during the week I'm feeling better and feeling closer to 100%."

FOR THE FANS

"Like I always say, we go into every game thinking we can win and trying to win. That won't be any different just because it's the last game of the season. They're always terrific. From the first day I came here I noticed that, and it's a shame we couldn't get a result for them. Hopefully we can get the win for them next week."
