I have been thinking for some time that I would have to write soon, unless a miracle occurred. It hasn't. Whoever thought that sacking Jack Ross was the right thing to do must have been living in a world of their own delusion. Perhaps they thought that Jose Mourinho would apply for the job! When the new manager was appointed my first thought was 'who is Phil Parkinson?' And I am still thinking that now.
This is probably a worse appointment than Simon Grayson or Paolo Di Canio. The club is going nowhere right now and Parkinson is obviously out of his depth. It is pointless to struggle on as we are. I suggest that asking Jack to come back would be one solution but whatever, this guy Parkinson is not going to ever be the answer.
Yours in greater sorrow than ever before...

At the back end of the 1980s, football fanzines began to sweep the country and in 1989 we were presented with a new vehicle on which to enjoy some of this ride – A Love Supreme. ALS was a place we could all go to celebrate and commiserate being a Sunderland fan. Win, lose or draw, the pages of the fanzine became solace for many of us as we stumbled our way through our day to day lives, punctuated by the ups and downs of more match days than any of us care to remember.
