Will Grigg has been chatting about joining Sunderland and hooking up with his old Wigan team mates, Donald Love and Max Power. "I was really intrigued when I got the call. Obviously, it all started to escalate and it was something I wanted to push. I had a great time at Wigan, loads of success but when a massive club like Sunderland comes along it is hard to put aside and I did everything I could to make it happen. Obviously, D (Donald Love) left quite a while ago now after a successful time and then Reece James and Max (Power)we had loads of success together at Wigan Athletic, so if we can replicate that success that would be great. That is what I am here for and I know Tom Flanagan as well from MK Dons which was another promotion year, so it definitely helps knowing players as you come in to a new club. It is a league I know, it is a league I have had a lot of success in and scored lots of goals. That is why I have come to the club. To score goals, to get promoted and I am going to do everything possible to try and achieve that. I had heard great things from the players I knew here and I was really excited to meet him. Jack Ross came across really well, told me how he wants me to play and the vision he has for the future of the club. Short term it is to get promoted, long term it is to go on from there. It is a really exciting time for the club and I am really happy to be part of it. I don't think you can (get sick of it). It is only a positive. I had a little ankle injury which kept me out at the weekend but I am confident I will be able to train next week and I am looking forward to putting the shirt on."
