The 2018/19 fixtures are out and we begin with a difficult home game, having to entertain Charlton Athletic on Sat 4th August with a lunchtime kick-off.
We take on Nathan Jones's Luton Town at Kenilworth Road the following weekend before the distraction of an EFL cup match against Sheff Wed the week after.
The Lads welcome Oxford on 1st September. A match which holds special significance for both Stewart Donald and Charlie Methven, who not only support the club but worked closely with them in the past. We all know where their loyalties now lie though.
We hit the trail to Coventry on 29th September with everyone hoping for a regular uninterrupted kick-off time without any underhand hijinks from the late Jimmy Hill (although I wouldn't put it past him).
On Saturday Nov 3rd supporters will begin the 812m round trip to Home Park to see us take on Plymouth Argyle. Only the most hardened of the hardcore need apply for this 13 hour marathon.
"Accrington Stanley who are they?" We find out on Saturday 8th December as we visit the 5000 capacity Crown Ground to take on the Reds. The ground allows for 2000 standing and we should occupy the Coppice Terrace. Be warned though it's apparently uncovered so maybe bring a brolly.
Boxing day sees the visit of Bradford City before a fucking awesome new years day trip to Blackpool. Nice way to wash away any hangovers with a trip to the seaside.
23rd March will see us face off against Joey Barton's Fleetwood Town at their Highbury Stadium ground. Nothing against them personally but let's hope for a good spanking for Barton's boys.
The season ends with a trip to Southend on May 4th with everyone hoping and praying that it marks the start of a promotion party for the boys in red and white.
