TAKEOVER “NEWS”/WYKE ON LACK OF GOALS

Although the sale of the club appears to be no closer, Stewart Donald reckons that a 'number of parties' are undertaking due diligence and that is holding up the deal. In other words, he’s still trying to sell the club, as he has been since January 2019, but we’re not there yet and it’s unlikely to happen before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Charlie Wyke has been discussing his form, lack of goals and coping with social media criticism. He said: "I think I've been playing well. I think I've been a big part of the team and we have been playing well and getting results so I don't think you can complain. If I was playing, wasn't scoring and we weren't winning then we'd be getting a bit of stick, but I think everyone who's playing at the minute is doing well so long may it continue. I'd definitely like to score more goals. As a striker I want to add more goals. I know it's frustrating at times, but the main thing this year is to get out the league and get promoted. As long as we're winning, who cares who scores?"

Wyke believes it’s also beneficial to stay off social media. He explained: "If you asked any of the lads, they don't look at it. Even when we win, there's point looking at it because you're one defeat away from getting a lot of stick. There's no point really looking at it. It was a disappointing start [against Coventry] but I think there wasn't really much in the game. We gave them a good game and it's just frustrating from our side."
