Graded

Almost a month on from the end of the January window, we look back at Jack Ross’ winter additions to the squad.

Lewis Morgan B:

The tricky winger has impressed mainly from the bench. He has most recently starred in the 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers where he put the ball on a plate for Charlie Wyke three times in twenty minutes. He has made a real impact against tired fullbacks.

Grant Leadbitter A:

Leadbitter has consistently performed at a level above the opposition. He has displayed great vision and helped protect the defence, sitting just in front of them. Furthermore, his delivery from corners has yielded four goals, Overall a great signing.

Jimmy Dunne C:

Despite having a solid start on Wearside, the Burnley loanee had a dip in confidence following an error which led to Oxford’s equaliser. However, his most recent performance he was solid, preventing Bristol Rovers from even having one shot on goal.

Will Grigg B:

Since the Northern Irishman’s signing, no Sunderland player has been involved in more goals (1 goal and 2 assists). The striker overall contribution has been excellent too. He seems the complete striker and could have a few more goals to his name if he’d been clinical in front of goal. Still though, I know it’s a cliché but at least he’s getting in the right positions and more goals will surely follow.

Kaziah Sterling N/A:

It certainly seems unfair to rate the Spurs loanee, as he has only had one short cameo from the bench. He did look energetic in that appearance but since then Sterling hasn’t featured, so sadly hasn’t featured enough to get a grade.
