sobs on Bohemians away...
sob's craic

Lucky job, this. I've just found a PC at Dublin Airport, and I'm surrounded by ill-mannered Spanish children. Which is about as much fun as the game last night.

I don't think that Bohs had quite anticipated just how many of us there would be, but at least they had the good grace to put the start back a bit. As for the football bit, we carried on where we'd left off at Scunny and showed very little shape. It was a bit wet on and off the field, and Stokes came more in to the game as it wore on.

Home, crowd, uncles and cousins - who can tell. I believe he was eventually replaced by Deano, then we contrived to hit the underside of the bar, and not score when I had time to walk on and write "goal" on the ball. With my left hand.

Friendlies are always difficult to draw meaningful stuff from regarding how well people play, but John was again spaced out despite scoring with what I'll generously call a glancing header and McShane looked a very good buy. Noz got caught out a couple of times, but also put in some storming challenges. Wallace was given a lengthy run-out and showed off his sunbed tan, while Halford looked like what he is - big and strong. Connolly showed some decent touches and Murphy worked hard, while Yorke did the clever stuff late on. Main thing was that we won, I suppose. Short report, rude Spaniards looking over my shoulder, running out of money.

What's that coming over the hill, is it my aero plane, going to Cork.

Man of the Match? McShane, despite looking scarily like Warren Barton.
