Name: Josh Murphy
Age (If you want): 19
How long you've supported the club: Since I was old enough to know what football was, call it 15 years for arguments sake.
What was your pre-match predictions for the game (honestly)?
Indecisive, I knew we had the quality to win but early kick-offs away against sides we should normally be beating proved to be our un-doing last season so I was always sceptical we might have to endure similar this time round. I knew we'd get chances to win and that if we took them we would win comfortably.
Was the 2-0 score line a fair result in your eyes?
We probably should have had a couple more. Sunderland offered very little in the way of attack until the last 10 minutes or so when they started to pressure a little more. We need to kill games off earlier than the 87th minute or we'll get punished for it, we had the chances
for it to be out of sight by 2/3 of the way through the game.
What do you think of Torres? He seemed lively through out and caused us a lot of problems, would you agree?
I thought he was excellent, he missed a couple of chances but they were the kind that he created out of thin air anyway. Had a hand in the second goal and set up Voronin previously with an excellent run to the by-line and a chance that Voronin should have netted.
It's fair to say that Craig Gordon kept us in the game, based on what you've saw of him do you think he's worth £9m?
£9m is an awful lot for any goal-keeper but a good one is almost priceless. Without trying to offend anyone you're going to face a battle to stay up this season and if you have a good goal-keeper who can keep you in matches then you stand half a chance. If he continues
that form up until the end of the season then I think he'll be worth the cash, if he plays a significant part in you staying in this division then £9m is a no-brainer.
Was it pleasing to do one over your old enemy Mr Keane?
Of course. Although as much as I thought the man was a c**t when he played football I must admit I hold a certain amount of respect for how he has conducted himself as a manager. I laughed when he got the job and thought he'd make a complete hash of it but he's proven me wrong. Although keeping you in this division is the toughest task he has faced in his career in my opinion.
Sami Hyppia and Jamie Carragher had to go off with a suspected broken nose and rib respectively, do you think we are a physical side?
Not excessively. I just think we had a bit of bad luck really. I'd class physical as yard-dog merchants like Bolton and Blackburn, I didn't really see anything last week that made me think you were any more physical than is acceptable.
Are you optimistic for the rest of the season? Whereabouts do you think you'll finish?
Very optimistic. I'm not going to make any bold predicitons but I think we're in with a shout of winning the title. Much will depend on doing well with injuries, although with the strength of the squad we're certainly in a far better position to deal with injuries than we ever have been - the last couple of weeks illustrates that point well in the results we've achieved without our captain and vice-captain.
Who was your best player?
Momo Sissoko.
Who was your worst player?
I don't think anyone played poorly to be honest.
What did you think of Sunderland 's performance?
I thought you did quite well defeinsively but didn't offer enough going forward, especially as you were the home side. At the end of the day your surivival in this division will not depend on how you get on against teams like Liverpool. Without sounding pompous, I think you'll
agree that any points you can take off the likes of us and the Mancs are a bonus and certainly not something that your season will hinge on.
Who was our best player?
Gordan.
Who was our worst player?
Dwight Yorke.
Where do you think we'll finish this season?
Difficult to say but I think you have a realisitic chance of staying up, without in my opinion any chance of "doing a Reading" and achieving midtable status. If you carry on fighting and scrapping I think you could be looking at 17th-15th.

Who'd win in a fight? Rafa Benitez or Roy Keane? And why?
Rafa Benitez, the goatee would scare the shite out of Keane.
