Name: Matt Boisclair
Age (If you want): 26
How long you’ve supported the club: Around 20 years
What was your pre-match predictions for the game (honestly)?
I would have been happy with a point before the game but with our away record I didn’t honestly expect a win despite my interview with the Match Program in which I predicted a Fulham win
Was the 1-1 score line a fair result in your eyes?
I felt we should really have finished you off while we had the chance. Had Healy scored and Kamara not had his goal disallowed then we would have been out of sight before you started to put us under pressure. That said, as the game headed into the latter stages Niemi ended up earning us a point with two great saves
Was it frustrating to concede a goal so late in the game? Especially against ten men?
We are used to it
Do you think Halford deserved to be sent off?
Yes, they were two deserved bookings and he left the referee little choice
Kamara seemed to score a perfectly decent goal, what was given against him?
Who knows what referee’s see these days. He has struggled for goals this season so its disappointing to see what seemed a perfectly good goal disallowed but to use the tired old cliché, that’s football
What did you think of your goal, I thought Gordon could have done better but I am a cynic.
If it had been Rooney curling one in to the top corner from that distance then we would still be hearing about it on the TV now. Simon Davies spotted the ‘keeper positioning himself for a cross so it was a superb piece of opportunism which was expertly executed in my eyes
We nearly signed Chris Baird in the summer but he came to you, how do you rate him?
Quite slow but solid defender who has come in for some stick from the supporters this season. Probably over priced at over £3 million but that was last summers transfer inflation for you. I still think he will come good
Do you like the way Lawrie Sanchez is styling your side?
I think he is living on a knife edge at the moment. We are difficult to beat but rarely win so the jury is still very much out
Credit to everyone who made the trip up north but do you wish you had a better away following? Do you think this contributes to your poor away record?
I used to go to all the away games but the players haven’t turned up for a few years so I am not bothering this season. I went to over 10 away’s last season and didn’t see one win. This year I went to Shrewsbury in the Carling Cup, saw us win so that’ll do me this season. I don’t think our away support has anything to do with the team’s performance and I very much expect a few away wins this season seeing as the side is completely different to the last two years which has seen us win just two Premiership matches away from the Cottage
What do you make of Roy Keane’s career as a Premier League manager so far?
Brief and over-hyped
Anyways are you optimistic for the rest of the season? Whereabouts do you think you’ll finish?
If we stay up I will be very happy. I don’t think you will need 40 points to stay up this year so that is a bonus
